After the assessment a working diagnosis will be reached and the treatment plan will be explained to the patient. The treatment can vary according to the problem; however we normally use manipulative techniques, soft tissue massage, joint mobilization, exercise prescription, visceral techniques (mobilization of the gut area), or cranial techniques.
In other words, the osteopathic treatment is dependent on each particular problem and it is tailor-made for each individual patient. The aim of any osteopathic treatment is to re-establish the normal balance and function of the body.
